The General Assembly has gone home, but Lindalyn Kakadelis continues discussing school choice legislation and reform issues with the education community and civic groups. Last week she spoke to the Sandhills Republican Club in Southern Pines. This week she conducted a workshop for the legislative committee of Union Academy, a charter school in Union County. Kakadelis also headed to Asheville for meetings with the North Carolina Independent School Association. While there, she toured KIPP Asheville Youth Academy, a partnership between Asheville City Schools and the KIPP national program.
