According to this article, the Buncombe County Commissioners put a moratorium on fourteen types of businesses in the county, to last until they can get another zoning ordinance in place. They evidently did this today in a special meeting. The notice said an open session would follow a closed session to discuss “Court of Appeals Decisions COA08-229 and COA08-327.” Does this constitute sufficient notice? The last zoning ordinance the commissioners attempted to enact was struck down on legal grounds.
