Looks like the local government lobbyists are winning the fight in the General Assembly to preserve their power to take your property:

You have three days in which to raise unshirted hell about the state Senate’s reluctance to protect your property rights. If you don’t, government can take whatever you own in the interest of “economic development.”

That’s The Fayetteville Observer making it clear that lawmakers have ducked a fairly straight-forward question: Do you stand with private property owners or with developers and bureaucrats?

Those of us who plan on living in North Carolina for awhile would like to know.
