As reported by Rush Radio and WGHP:

PTI officials may soon be asking passengers to pay for construction that was intended mainly to lure FedEx.

A $4.50 passenger facility charge could go into effect as early as August if it is approved by the FAA.

The revenue for the charge is expected to cover $44 million in infrastructure improvement costs, $30 million of which is for construction of the new 9,000-foot parallel runway that was part of the deal that lured FedEx to the Triad. The fee is expected to raise $4 million a year through 2022.
