The Asheville Citizen-Times wants you to send them Letters to Obama. They assume you believe there is a better chance of being heard if their editorial staff chooses to publish your work than if you send a fax or email.
Send your letter to the president to [email protected]. Please include “Letter to Obama” in the subjectline. And remember, 250 words or less. Include your name and town. No anonymous letters will be published.
Somebody I respect very much recently said it does no good to complain. One must do something. I agree, but I don’t know how to correct things in 250 words or fewer. If the C-T can ask you to write a letter, why can’t I ask your organization to write a chain letter (i.e., 250 + 250 + 250 + . . . words)? Local government will have to write the bill to replace Obamacare, as they have the most people on the payroll. Maybe the Biltmore Company could draft unfunded liability reforms, and the Grove Park Inn could address foreign policy.
