If voters want a chance to vote in the fall to increase North Carolina’s property rights protection, the Senate must approve a bill (House Bill 878) to set a constitutional amendment on the ballot.

That’s the goal of several groups who hosted a morning news conference outside the Legislative Building.

Speakers are: Kieran Shanahan, chairman of the N.C. Property Rights Coalition; House Minority Leader Paul Stam; Senate Minority Leader Phil Berger; Dallas Woodhouse of Americans for Prosperity North Carolina; and Joyce Krawiec of N.C. Freedom Works.
