North Carolina isn’t the only state where investigations are under way into the alleged trading of campaign contributions for certain favors. A federal grand jury in Alabama has indicted former governor Don Siegleman for soliciting contributions in exchange for such things as, oh, being able to appoint certain cabinet members.
