As Labor Day approaches, the election season will move into a heightened stage. John Locke Foundation President John Hood discussed elections with Don Curtis this week for a weekend radio program distributed throughout the multiple Curtis Media Group stations in North Carolina. (The Durham Herald-Sun also relied on Hood’s election expertise recently, quoting him in articles about Barack Obama’s chances to win North Carolina’s electoral votes and N.C. Gov. Mike Easley’s role in Obama’s North Carolina campaign.) Hood was not alone among JLF experts sharing their thoughts with radio audiences this week. Meck Deck blogger Jeff Taylor joined the WDYT “Brainstorm” program Thursday morning in Charlotte to discuss “the good, the bad, and the merely hysterical.” Paul Chesser of Climate Strategies Watch tackled global warming policy myths during an appearance on WHP Radio in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
