The Leland Tribune picked up that article. The Charlotte Observer also published a truncated version of a letter from Legal and Regulatory Policy Analyst Daren Bakst challenging the purported benefits of government-mandated energy-efficiency programs. Marketwatch.com used a story from the PR Newswire that cited JLF involvement in a highly publicized Colorado petition. The petition challenges Amendment 58, which would raise taxes on oil and natural gas production. The story includes the following passage: “Also among the signatories were representatives of some of the most
