Tonight at 7, the Raleigh City Council holds a public hearing on the Southeast High Speed Rail Project. A group of Five Points residents who don’t want it in their backyard plan to express opposition, although they say they support high-speed rail in general. You can hear their spokesperson discuss it with WPTF’s Bill LuMaye here. The interview is tagged as High Speed Rail Headed for Raleigh.

Based on the data, which you can find here, this group should oppose high-speed rail no matter where it’s proposed in North Carolina. You can hear JLF’s Michael Sanera explain why to WPTF’s Bill LuMaye here. The interview is tagged as NC3 Not Necessary?
