Well, well. Here comes the state GOP to throw some gasoline on the heated Mecklenburg County Commissioners race. With luck, it’ll blow up real good.

The state party has dropped down to pay for an anti-Park Helms TV ad, leading with Helms’ support for tax hikes and light rail. In this “blue moon” election cycle, big local races like the Meck county commission will drive turn-out more than normal.
