More than 500 North Carolinians delivered a unified message about the
need for limited and efficient government Wednesday night at the “Take
Back Our State” rally in downtown Raleigh. JLF was among the sponsors. The crowd listening to speakers included print,
radio and TV reporters. On Thursday, a comment from John Hood about the
current inefficiency and size of state government was featured in an
Associated Press story picked up by the Durham Herald-Sun and
Wilmington Star-News.  WRAL-TV, News14 Carolina, and
WPTF-AM also
covered the event, which counted Hood and Lindalyn Kakadelis among the
speakers who revved up the audience about the need to reform the tax
code, change the spending habits of the legislature, and bring choice
and parents further into the education arena. JLF staffers welcomed
citizense to a JLF booth on the mall, while Chad Adams provided live
phone updates on the rally to Asheville-area listeners of the Matt
Mittan show on WWNC-AM.
