The N&R follows Becki Gray’s logic stating that special elections = low voter turnout = sales tax increases, ultimately concluding that voters who supported the Randolph County sales tax hike “decided it is a good time to raise taxes for the right reason.”
The so-called right reason is to help Randolph Community College upfit the recently-purchased former Klaussner Furniture building. Taxpayers are already forking out for the purchase of the building, so let them pay a little extra to renovate it.
Sounds logical, eh?
