The view of likely voters is crystal clear. From Rasmussen: (emphasis is mine)

The message from voters remains clear: Tax cuts yes, tax hikes no.

Most U.S. voters (52%) continue to believe that tax increases will hurt the economy, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Just 22% think tax increases are good for the economy, while 16% say they have no impact.

Fifty-five percent (55%) say tax cuts, on the other hand, will help the economy. Twenty-three percent (23%) disagree and say they’re bad for the economy. Fifteen percent (15%) feel tax cuts will have no impact.

Most Republicans and voters not affiliated with either major party believe tax increases will hurt the economy and tax cuts will help. Democrats are closely divided on both of these questions.
