We’ve now received two reports that provide a good snapshot of how Wake County’s state legislators fare when evaluated on issues of fiscal conservatism and social conservatism, and on issues related to business.

First, let’s look at Civitas Action’s Conservative Effectiveness Ratings. The first number is a percentage from zero (least conservative) to 100 percent (most conservative). The second number is the ranking. For House members it is the ranking out of 123 legislators. There are more than 120 due to resignations and appointments. For Senate members, it is the ranking out of 50 members. The detailed methodology can be found here.
