Hal, the Calvinism reference was to the “tragic view” portion, not the Hee-Haw lyrics ? which reflect, wouldn’t you say, more of a fatalistic view (cropping up in recent days in Democrat circles, while giddy Republicans drift toward ignoring the Daedalus of the electorate).
