George – sign me up. I will gladly use my platform, through my radio show, to do just that. If/when anyone hears of a situation like that, let me know. I will do my best to motivate people across western NC to “Take A Stand!”
Today on my show (on WWNC/Asheville) a couple callers suggested that everyone in the listening audience should call their banks and ask why they haven’t done the same thing as BB&T. The idea took root and others said they would threaten to move their accounts if their banks didn’t take a stand for property rights. I plan on following up and asking for official comments from area banks on the matter next week.
