From the Asheville Citizen-Times:

A two-page advertisement condemning homosexuality and announcing a rally supporting the right of Christian and conservative businesses to refuse to employ gays and lesbians ran Thursday in the Asheville Citizen-Times. Many members of the community called to denounce the newspaper for publishing the advertisement, which included the term “sodomites” in it.

The Citizen-Times says, in their editorial today, that people who discriminate against homosexual rights “fly in the face of everything Jesus Christ preached and practiced”. Editorial board also quotes scripture from the Bible and says that “Christians should heed greatest commandment.”

What wasn’t reported though was that UNC-Chapel Hill Chancellor James Moeser said, ‘it’s not my call to say whether it’s a Bible or not.’
