Shouldn?t an enviro-socialist publication at least pretend to care about the fact that these cities have some of the worst environmental records in the world?

Yale’s Environmental Performance Index ranks China, Indonesia, and Ethiopia at 105, 102, and 123, respectively (with scores of 65.1, 66.2 and 58.8) in terms of countries with the cleanest environmental records. The most polluted areas of developing countries are always the urban centers – meaning that these cities would rank even worse. Oh, and by the way, the “egalitarian” GDP per capita – $6,621, $3,570 and $1,030, respectively in purchasing power parity.

The United States ranks 39 (score of 81.0) on the EPI with a $38,165 GDP per capita.

It’s clear that the enviro-socialist movement has really always been more socialist than enviro.

Disclaimer: I’m not supporting Yale’s methodology by citing them. Any environmental performance index that ranks Russia ahead of the United States clearly has some methodological issues.
