I’m really disappointed that candidate Anne Fischer’s desire to make the world a better place is so traditional. Only $12 per hour for the minimum wage? That may be enough of other people’s money for an average guy to live on, but what about all of the oppressed women for goodness sake? Doesn’t Fischer realize women have more expenses because our male-dominated society forces us to be smart AND cute at the same time? Doesn’t she understand this never ending pressure for “effortless perfection” is really expensive? Ms. Fischer should rework her minimum wage proposal to level the playing field and reflect societal reality: $12/hour for men, but $15/hour for women in order to make up for past, current, and, no doubt, future discrimination. We deserve it, and after all, isn’t it government’s job to take care of us anyway?
