George, apropos of your post, I have been considering a comparison between the early years of the Revolutionary War and the present day in that the deck is so stacked against those fighting for liberty that, for now, the freedom fighters’ strategy (as was Gen. Washington’s) is to avoid ignominious defeat, wage battles that are most likely losing propositions but that will at least delay tactical advance to the illiberal forces, and always be prepared for a chance of victory ? la Trenton, Princeton, and Saratoga ? victories for morale as well as for the vitality of the cause of liberty, clearing a path for freedom’s eventual triumph.
