I don’t listen to a lot of popular music, but that stuff is ever-present in our culture, so I can’t avoid overexposure to the not-infrequent bad lyrics. Which is why I grew to hate it when Ricky Martin kept saying “She’ll make you take your clothes off / And go dancing in the rain” (“Livin’ La Vida Loca”).
