There is one aspect of this debate that really grinds my gears. Counties that recently passed sizable school facilities bonds are now claiming that they need even more taxpayer moolah to build schools.

Last November, voters in Union County approved a school facilities bond for $174.5 million, and in May, voters in Johnston County approved a school facilities bond for $99 million. These counties will have at least two or three years of bond revenue to pay for necessary school construction projects.
