Dr. Guarino passes along an interesting exchange between Greensboro City Council members Robbie Perkins and Dianne Bellamy-Small and a citizen who dared question funding for Greensboro Transit Authority.
I’ll take the high road and speculate that Perkins and Bellamy-Small are a bit defensive about public transportation these days, considering the fact that they’re both PART board members dealing with some harsh reality.
My gut reaction is also to wonder why conservative members of the council didn’t come to Rob Jones’ defense after he was treated so rudely. The 9-0 vote approving more funding for GTA answers that question.
*I realize Bellamy-Small is pretty much always unplugged. But she appeared to be in rare form during last night’s meeting.
