Apropos of your news, Roy, it seems the Westernization of China continues apace. But what are we to make of the parents’ quotation that kaidangku (open-crotch pants letting nature take its course) are “so uncivilised?” Especially now that the Chinese are using nappies (i.e., diapers) because they’re “more convenient and healthier for the child and parents.”
