I wonder how much (or what percentage) of that volunteerism was related to Katrina relief and/or the outpouring of Tsunami relief?
Civic club memberships have been shrinking for some time so it’s interesting to hear about an increase in volunteerism and I’m trying to figure out where it’s coming from. But the mentality is interesting and pervasive. How much do volunteer efforts count if the effort is government funded?
