I suppose it’s impossible to avoid the charges of “lying” or “deceiving” or something similar no matter how you form your argument against ObamaCare’s hyper-politicization of health care, but I argue here that it might be better to focus on the big picture rather than the shifting, murky details of the legislation.

The big picture, in short, is this: putting the government in charge of any good or service always makes things worse. Politicians don’t know what individuals want, are very short-sighted, generally do what appeals to special interest groups, and hardly ever correct their mistakes. That is not a formula for quality, efficiency, and innovation.
