It might be true — or at least seem to be true. That’s just the kind of tactic that the unions would use. Put a few staffers to work making calls purporting to threaten legislators so they can then use those calls both as an excuse for not facing angry constituents and also as a (thoroughly illogical) way of discrediting the opposition.
Hey, Brad Miller! Hey David Price! Whether the calls are real or bogus, the legislation is still an abomination and you’re derelict in your duty as a “representative” if you refuse to listen to people trying to tell you that.
