Responding to your
query about what happens to companies post-incentive payout, it is
curious. As NC soars past the $1+billion owed in “tax incentives”
(not to mention what cities and counties owe) one should be asking that
very question. The obvious answer is that the companies can
re-negotiate for more incentives, shop around for another county in NC,
or simply start actually paying the taxes that the rest of the
companies in the state have to pay.
