Jon,

Kevin Miller calls himself a “populist,” which apparently means someone who likes Pat Buchanan and cares not a lick for economic theory or principled government.
At a talk the other night, he deferred on eminent domain and impact
fees, stating that he likes to bring in people on opposite sides of the
issue and not involve himself in issues.

Of course, Miller is more than happy to ride the Duke lacrosse onto Nancy Grace and the Today Show. He’s more than stated his opinion on gas prices, but barely said anything about the gas tax.

Does
he care about the Triangle? Does he care about creating a vibrant
economy? Or is he looking for the national story that will propel him
to New York? Maybe George Bush should have the FCC and the Department
of Justice investigate talk show hosts who waste my time.
