Paul,
Don’t forget “Dirty Work,” “Kid Charlemagne,” and “Deacon Blues.”
I haven’t listened to classic rock radio regularly for a long time, but I seem to remember wondering in years past why programmers had shied away from the more accessible tunes from eccentric 70s rockers.
Why did they not play:
- Velvet Underground, “Sweet Jane” and “Rock & Roll”
- Big Star, “September Gurls”
- Blue Cheer, “Summertime Blues”
I would rather hear any of these tunes than “Aqualung.”
