Under the reigning approach to education that no one should ever feel offended or suffer lowered self-esteem, it follows not only that the Minnesota prof should be rebuked for posting the cartoons, but also that Stossel should be punished for his special on the low quality of American K-12 education since, as the protesting teachers said, some students felt hurt by it.
The offense that some people take at being compelled to pay for government schools, however, does not count as authentic offense.
