Joe, no Mike Munger didn?t make the difference. With 95 counties in, and another four partially in (Buncombe is still out in its entirety), the 112k vote margin is just under what Munger got. I don?t think we can assume all Libertarian votes would otherwise have gone Republican.

Also, Mike Munger was only the third most popular Libertarian that ran this year in North Carolina! Chris Cole got 125,528 (3.10%) in the senate race, Phillip Rhodes 119,253 (3.02%) for lieutenant governor, and Munger “only” got 115,003 votes (2.84%). So there clearly were some people splitting their ballots.
