Gosh — look what I started.
I cheerfully admit to being no expert on rock music, but my perception is that it generally does lack structure. What is has is repetition, but that’s not a structure.
But that’s beside the point. My contention is that it’s a whole lot better to surround children with, say Haydn symphonies than with Runs and Roses or Pistols and Petunias or whatever the heck it is.
