Joe, I can’t go along with your description of it as the “unintentionally funniest song of the year” — not that it isn’t unintentionally funny, because it is, but the annoyance factor of it is so high.
Still, being new to the artist currently known as AKON, I looked up his lyrics and found out that the hip-hop star is quite the political satirist. He has dozens upon dozens of clever parodies of the soulless kleptocratic culture infested Washington, sung from the viewpoint of the lusting, greedy political overclass determined to take what they want, when they want it, as in such songs as “Bend That *** Ova,” “Smack That” and “I Wanna **** You.”
Juvenal would be proud.
