During the opening kickoffs and at key moments during football games at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, people can’t talk to the person next to them–even when they shout. I remember the crowd–especially the student section–stomping the bleachers while cheering. The crowd is known as the “12th defender.” Of course, with recent play over the past couple years, a few crickets can be heard when the crowd has little to cheer for.
