The Raleigh News & Observer reports:?
It’s not up to UNC-Chapel Hill to declare last week’s SUV attack, by a Muslim saying he wanted to kill students as punishment against the US government, on campus an act of terrorism, Chancellor James Moeser said Thursday, responding to criticism from some students. “The fact is, this is not the university’s call,” Moeser said. “The U.S. attorney will determine whether or not this is an act of terrorism.”

In other news, Moeser told a team of meteorological students that it was not his place to call the savage weather in the Midwest over the weekend “thunderstorms” nor was it his place to tell local athletic students whether to call the recent competitive sporting events in Italy the “Olympics” or not. He was also waiting on legal council before declaring if the bright object that rose in the sky this morning could actually be called “the sun”.
