Like Guarino, I also read with interest today’s N&R editorial noting the funding discrepancy between Rep. Pricey Harrison and would-be Republican opponent Jon Hardister. The N&R took note that Harrison “almost apologizes for raising so much campaign money, a process she calls ‘stressful, unpleasant and time-consuming.'”

It should go without saying that Pricey is “a proponent of public financing, which she says would level the playing field and encourage more people to run.” Well how about she just hand over half her $108,000 campaign fund to Hardister in the interest of “leveling the playing field?”

That’s the way public campaign financing works, you know. Except we’re paying, not Pricey.
