I’d like to nominate our local classic rock station (106.1 RDU) as an unbiased arbiter in our greatest albums debate. Conveniently, they’re recently chosen the 106 greatest rock albums ever recorded. Dark Side of the Moon (1973) tops the list. Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd also have a few on the chart. Even Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA makes an appearance (at #79).
Paul, you’ll be happy to see that Physical Graphitti ranks 31st, while Houses of the Holy comes in at 27. (I and ZOSO are in the top 10, as are Drew‘s Skynyrd albums.)
