1. There is obviously no Latin term for the neologism “blog.” I searched online to see if and how others approached the question. I found these two examples (I and II), but both simply latinize “blog” (blogus for the noun, blogere for the verb).
That approach is intuitive, short and sweet ? but my problem with it is that “blog” is a back-formation (from “web log”). So I decided to devise my own solution, and my search was short, because the Latin word for “daily journal,” ephemeris, lends itself rather well to an obvious but ? I’m sure you’ll agree ? elegant pun.
