Thanks Joe, I see the news reports on this tax hike are even worse than I imagined, as none of them spell out just what the hell is going on. In fact, this particular extension of the sales tax is treated as a last graf bullet-point, if at all. Big mistake and rather tone-deaf for the reporters and editors in the audience.

So if I understand things correctly, consumers in North Carolina, many of whom have monthly “connectivity” charges of $100 to $200 a month will see a big jump in their bills as that new 7% levy kicks in. That should be fun.

Wonder what amazing new state service Raleigh will provide in return?
