This issue of whether or not there should be a wall of separation between private and government schools has been an ongoing debate here at JLF. Those who have been reading the Locker Room for a while will know that I and others are not only in favor of a high and thick wall between private and government schools but indeed between government and education in general. For those who would like to review some of this debate I suggest looking back at our blog to January of 2004 for a lengthy discussion of the issue between myself and John Hood, with some chiming in by Karen and George Leef. Click here to read the opening salvo. Of course John did his best to hold up the left wing in this discussion. I’ve always thought that John hired me in order to make him look like a moderate. I think this discussion is some evidence for this hypothesis.
