Two things.
First, can’t windmill farms just fence off the windmills with huge nets to keep the birds out? Aviaries are draped with nets to keep birds in. Can it be that much harder to enclose windmills with something similar? Could a net really reduce windspeed enough to drop windmill productivity?
Second, nuclear power produces nuclear waste, which is the main reason environmentalists oppose it. Then there’s the possibility, however remote, of a meltdown. But if it were not for the waste, the main environmental argument against nuke plants would vanish.
