(S)he doesn’t understand that the conclusion ? “we need government intervention” ? doesn’t flow from the premise ? “There is no way that a single person, even if he were a medical doctor with ten Ph.D.s, can figure that out on his own.”
If no one person can find a solution on his own, why would you mandate a course of action favored by a subset of the ignorant?
