George, that line in your post underscores a portion of Peggy Noonan’s column today1 (which is about Hillary Clinton’s don’t-hit-me-I’m-a-girl approach) that I think is exceptionally well said and well encapsulates a segment of American society that we know only too well:


They came from comfort and stability, visited poverty as part of a college program, fashionably disliked their country, and cultivated a bitterness that was wholly unearned.
