Thanks, Joe. The program included a student who is head of the Association of Student Governments (or something like that) and gets to sit as a non-voting member on the Board of Governors. He complained about how terrible the recent tuition increases were and that people were being priced out of the UNC system. Luckily, I got in the final word, pointing out that a) the UNC system remains one of the least expensive in the country; b) despite the tuition increases, enrollment has continued to increase; and c) that when families need to come up with college money, there are lots of options available to them — borrowing, scholarships, and equity financing.
