What I said on Wednesday about Gov. Beverly (and Georgia’s Sonny too, by the way) Perdue’s weekend plans — I was right about that, at least according to The Daily Press of Newport News. Call me Karnack.

Of course they won’t walk away from the annual Southern Governors Association conference with a cap-and-trade agreement in place, but they’ll be talking it up, for sure. Only voices of reason may be Gov. Haley Barbour of Mississippi and the other Gov. Perdue. Incoming SGA chairman Bob Riley, governor of Alabama, would be too but The Daily Press doesn’t think he’ll be there.

No way the global warming propagandists will pick off every state executive, either, but that’s not necessary. They just need enough to put more pressure on Congress to enact a national plan.
