I don’t buy that line from WFU. Does the school expect us to believe that back in the old days when applicants had to submit SAT scores, the admissions people were somehow unable to “affirm the full range of talents, skills and values” the students have? And while it’s true that standardized tests don’t reveal anything about integrity, work ethic, open-mindedness and the passion for learning, it does reveal something about the academic capabilities of a student. How is the school’s decision process improved by having LESS information?

I think the reason for dropping the SAT is that it helps cover up the mania for “diversity.”
