Dr. Troy Kickler brought his Lexington talk on the NC Regulators to Burlington earlier this week.  During his presentation, Troy described the religious underpinnings of the North Carolina regulation and the Crown government, and how by legal and extralegal means, regulators protested corrupt officials, demanded government accountability and how tax money was spent, and defended liberties and property.  In short, as Herman Husband, a leader in the Regulation, wrote, “It is a duty of an honest man, as well as a right, to see and examine whether  . . . rulers abuse trust.”
