Former Greensboro Chamber of Commerce president Peter Reichard entered an Alford plea in Wake County Superior Court yesterday. Judge Donald Stephens ordered that Reichard pay the $25,000 fine within 90 days, sentenced Reichard to two years probation and also prohibited him from working in any political campaigns during the probationary period.
CJ’s Don Carrington reports Reichard entered the plea in an effort to avoid the “time and expense of a trial.”
